What are the advantages of being member of CEDAG?

Information Policy
 
  • a  regular update on social policy, EU policies and funding opportunities through CEDAG's website and access to the members only section of the website;
  • leaflet with general information on the who, what and why of CEDAG;
  • newsletters on European policy issues;
  • information on CEDAG projects and interesting web links;
  • conference reports as a result of the activities of CEDAG;
  • being on our distribution lists, forwarding of all essential information and news. 
EU Policy activities
 
  • participation in Board / Administrative Council / General Assembly meetings of CEDAG;
  • during these meetings, members are informed about the most important policy developments in the social sector;
  • direct involvement of member organisations in Permanent Working Groups of CEDAG ;
  • opportunity to get involved in a certain issue at the European level through participation in a permanent working group (Civil Dialogue or Social Policy) or an ad hoc working group;
  • information on the impact of EU policy on the social sector through a new study working group;
  • the advantages of a 20 year old expertise in networking in Brussels;
  • an Action Plan for each year with input from the member organisations;
  • an Annual Report with CEDAG's work of the past year and with a glimpse at the future.

Policy influencing

  • lobbying especially with the Commission, large number of DGs, but in particular DG Employment and Social Affairs, to voice the viewpoints of the member organisations on the European agenda;
  • lobbying with the Social Economy Intergroup of the European Parliament, the Economic and Social Committee, the Committee of the Regions and the Council of Europe;
  • influencing EU policies through CEDAG’s involvement in “SOCIAL ECONOMY EUROPE” – SEE and the “Informal Network of Social Service Providers”;

Project development

  • a project development seminar with background information on the EU, practical tips for European partnerships and project development and a guiding tour through the labyrinth of EU programs and budget lines;
  • possibility to get involved in each project CEDAG develops.

Practical support

  • quick feedback on questions of the members by tel, fax or email;
  • CEDAG’s infrastructure may be used by the member organisations for their own use or to organise a meeting.
