On Wednesday 13^th October a joint meeting organised by the socialist (S&D) and christian-democrat (EPP) group in the European Parliament gathered MEPS, Commissioners and different stakeholders in order to discuss how to move from “words to actions” in support to the social economy sector.

Since the Treaty of Lisbon came into force in December 2009, its institutional innovations have been gradually being implemented. At this stage it is too early to draw conclusions on the implications of the new provisions, but it is already possible to observe some trends.
